School Symbol
Our school badge
Every school in Japan has its own symbol.
The star, wings, and a stick stand for Mercury, a guardian deity of commerce.
The two serpents represent merchants. Mercury, the God of commerce, is
judging merchants who are having a shameful dispute over their self-interest.
NC stands for Niigata Commercial.
In addition, serpents stand for wisdom, and we should always be wise and react
sensitively to the economic trends. Wings represent running through the world and
flying bravely over the five continents.
Our school badge teaches us that we should not pursue only our own benefit. It also
illustrates that when consumers and society
harmonize with each other, the true prosperity for the merchants is guaranteed.
